The Isle of Man Tynwald (parliament) has approved the various orders and regulations to enact the 2018-19 Budget measures, which generally apply from 6 April 2018. The tax related measures are mainly limited to an increase in the personal allowance from IMP (GBP) 12,500 to IMP 13,250, the postponement of the soft drinks industry levy by one year to 1 April 2019, and a new anti-avoidance rule to address practices that enable individuals to receive tax-free payments via the sale of goodwill or unquoted shares to their own companies.
