Ireland's Department of Finance has launched a public consultation on the OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Project. The public consultation process will run from 27 May 2014 to 22 July 2014. The main purpose of the public consultation is to  consider options for changes in Ireland's tax system in response to international tax changes in order to keep Ireland's tax system competitive. Public comment is welcome concerning the following four key areas: The BEPS Action Plan, including the following 2014 Actions: Treaty Anti-Abuse Provisions (and implications for treaty-related domestic benefits) Country-by-Country Reporting Hybrid mismatch arrangements Preferential regimes (e.g. patent...
