According to recent reports, the Iranian parliament has approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with India. The treaty, signed 17 February 2018 ({News-2019-02-15/T/3-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply in India from 1 April of the year following its entry into force and will apply in Iran from 21 March (first day of Farvardin in Iranian calendar) of the year following its entry into force.
