On 6 May 2008, Poland's President signed the bill amending the Code of Commercial Companies. The bill implements provisions of the EC Directive 2005/56/EC on Cross-Border Mergers of Limited Liability Companies and provides a legal framework to enable cross-border mergers between Polish companies and other EU or EEA companies. The companies qualifying for the cross-border merger under the amended Code are: - limited liability company (spólka z ograniczona odpowiedzialnoscia, Sp.
