Hungary has increased the standard minimum monthly wage from HUF 161,000 per month to HUF 167,400 per month for full-time employees with effect from 1 February 2021. For employees in positions requiring at least secondary level qualifications or vocational training, the minimum monthly wage is increased from HUF 210,600 per month to HUF 219,000 per month. For part-time employees, the minimum wage values must be proportioned accordingly. Aside from serving as the minimum wage, these values also serve as the minimum social security contribution basis.
