The Hong Kong government has announced the publication of the order for the implementation of the pending income tax treaty with Saudi Arabia. The treaty, signed 24 August 2017 ({News-2017-08-29/T/4-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and will enter into force on the first day of the second month following the exchange of the ratification instruments. The order will be tabled at the Legislative Council on 23 May for negative vetting.
