According to a release from the Office of the Prime Minister of Greece, officials from Greece and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to renew the 2010 tax treaty between the two countries. As previously reported, the treaty ceased to apply as of 18 December 2024, in accordance with Article 30 (Termination) of the treaty. Article 30 provided that the treaty would only remain in force for a period of 10 years. Further details of the renewal, such as the effective date, will be published once available.
