Greece published Law 5045/2023 in the Official Gazette on 29 July 2023, which includes various amendments regarding pensions, salary regulations, and financial management. Law 5045/2023 also includes certain tax amendments, including the extension of the tax exemption on interest income arising from Greek government bonds and treasury bills (promissory notes). The exemption is made available in respect of government bonds and treasury bills acquired by Greek tax resident legal persons and entities and permanent establishments in Greece of non-resident enterprises.
