Greece has announced that the three-month suspension of the operation of the ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO) registry expired effective 1 October 2020. Greece earlier suspended the operation of the UBO registry to 30 June 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the suspension extended by a further three months to give individuals and legal entities more time to familiarize themselves with the system. With the suspension ended, persons liable for registration must submit the required information by 1 November 2020.
