Greece has launched a public consultation on a draft law from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs that includes, among other measures, a reduction in social security contributions. This includes a combined reduction of 3% for private-sector employer and employee contributions that would apply with effect from 1 January 2021. The 3% reduction is achieved through reductions in both employee and employer contributions for unemployment insurance and different contributions for the implementation of social policies. The deadline for comments is 29 October 2020.
