Google has reportedly settled a tax dispute with Italian authorities, agreeing to pay EUR 326 million to cover alleged unpaid taxes from 2015 to 2019. This settlement includes penalties, sanctions, and interest. Milan prosecutors had been investigating Google for allegedly failing to file and pay taxes on revenue generated in Italy. The investigation focused on advertising revenue and Google's digital infrastructure within the country. By settling and agreeing to pay the EUR 326 million, Google avoids further legal proceedings in the dispute. Google settled a similar tax dispute in 2017 when it agreed to pay EUR 306 million.
