The German Ministry of Finance has published guidance updates on the special VAT rules (regulations) for small businesses. The updates concern amendments approved in December 2024 that generally apply from 1 January 2025. As previously reported, this includes an increase in the VAT exemption thresholds for small businesses from EUR 22,000 to EUR 25,000 in the previous year and from EUR 50,000 to EUR 100,000 in the current year.
