The European Commission has published the non-confidential version of the final negative decision adopted on 20 June 2018 concluding that Luxembourg granted illegal State aid of around EUR 120 million to the Engie group (formally GDF Suez). The decision concerns tax rulings granted in relation to two intra-group financing arrangements implemented in 2008 and 2010 for two Engie group companies in Luxembourg, which allowed the group companies to avoid paying taxes on almost all their profits ({News-2018-06-22/A/3-previous coverage}).
