On 6 May 2015, the European Commission announced its plans for a Digital Single Market for Europe, including 16 initiatives under 3 main pillars. The initiatives are to be completed by the end of 2016, and include the following: Pillar I: Better access for consumers and businesses to digital goods and services across Europe The Commission will propose: 1. rules to make cross-border e-commerce easier.
