Commission Decision (EU) 2020/1573 of 28 October 2020 was published in the Official Journal of the EU on 29 October 2020. The decision extends to 30 April 2021 the waiver of customs duties and VAT on the import of medical and protective equipment from non-EU (third) countries, which was first introduced in April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
