The Council of the European Union is reportedly planning to remove eight jurisdictions from the EU List of Non-Cooperative Jurisdictions during an upcoming meeting scheduled to be held 23 January 2018. The jurisdictions to be removed include Barbados, Grenada, Macau, Mongolia, Panama, South Korea, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates. However, these jurisdictions will still be included in the list of potentially non-cooperative jurisdictions, which are monitored with respect to their commitments to implement relevant tax good governance principles, but not necessarily subject to administrative and defensive measures that may be adopted by EU countries.
