On 1 August 2018, Council Decision (EU) 2018/1089 of 22 June 2018 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union, which approves the agreement between the European Union and Norway on administrative cooperation, combating fraud, and recovery of claims in the field of value added tax. The agreement, signed 6 February 2018, is the first of its kind between the EU and a third country and will enter into force on the first day of the second month following the date on which the parties have notified each other of the completion of their internal legal procedures.
