The Dominican Republic's Directorate General of Internal Revenue (DGII) has announced that an exemption from the advance income tax (ISR) payment normally due on 15 May (for the April period) has been provided for most taxpayers. The exemption is provided automatically without taxpayers needing to make any particular request. However, large national taxpayers that continue to operate are required to make their advance payment. If such large taxpayers are unable to make their payment, a request for an exemption may be made.
