Dominica's Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security, Irving McIntyre, presented the 2024/2025 Budget on 26 July 2024. While the budget does not include any major tax changes, it does include an increase in taxes on sugary drinks, alcohol, and tobacco. This includes an increase in the excise tax on sugary drinks by XCD 1.0 per liter and an increase in the excise tax on alcohol and tobacco by XCD 0.75 per liter and kilogram respectively. The increase will be implemented with effect from 1 September 2024.
