Danish Parliament Considering Carbon Tax Legislation for Green Tax Reforms

The Danish parliament is considering draft bill L 182 and draft bill L 183, which provide for the implementation of green tax reforms, including CO2 tax changes. The CO2 tax changes are to be phased in from 2025, resulting in the following rates in 2030: DKK 750 per tonne for companies not covered by the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), although a rate of DKK 375 per tonne would apply for quota covered space heating; DKK 375 per tonne for companies covered by the EU ETS; and DKK 125 per tonne for mineralogical companies, including cement, brick, metal, and...
