The Danish Government announced on 24 June 2024 that it has agreed with the parties in the green tripartite party on a long-term plan for the restructuring and conversion of Denmark's land and of food and agricultural production. This includes measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector, including a new tax on emissions from livestock.
