According to a release from the Iraq Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from the Czech Republic and Iraq met on 24 July 2022 to discuss the provisions of a draft income and capital tax treaty, which is expected to be signed in the near future. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
