On 8 September 2022, the Czech Chamber of Deputies (lower house of parliament) approved the bill for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Brazil. The agreement was approved by the Senate (upper house) on 11 May 2022. The agreement, signed 9 December 2020, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
