On 1 September 2014, a Curacao's National Ordinance for the promotion of the employment of young unemployed persons entered into force. Under the Ordinance, employers that employ qualifying young unemployed persons within 3 years after 1 September 2014 do not have to withhold wage tax and are exempt from paying employer social security contributions.
