The OECD has announced that OECD countries unanimously decided on 15 May 2020 to invite Costa Rica to become a member of the Organisation. Costa Rica completed the required technical work for the accession process to join the OECD on 31 March 2020. According to the OECD, Costa Rican President Carlos Alvarado Quesada and OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will sign an Accession Agreement in the coming days.
