Costa Rica's Legislative Assembly is considering legislation submitted on 22 June 2020 that would extend the COVID-19 relief measures introduction by Law No. 9830 in March 2020, which includes a suspension (moratorium) on value added tax (VAT) payments, partial income tax payments, selective consumption tax payments, and import tariff payments normally due in April, May, and June 2020. The Legislative Assembly is considering whether to extend the law for three additional months.
