A media release from the Cook Islands Ministry of Finance and Economic Management has be published concerning the removal of tax exemptions for international companies. The exemptions were removed by the International Companies (Removal of Tax Exemption) Amendment Act 2019, which entered into force on 17 December 2019 with a transition period to 31 December 2021.
