Chile's Chamber of Deputies is considering a proposal submitted on 22 January 2025 for the introduction of a temporary reduced corporate (first category) tax rate for qualifying SMEs under the Pro Pyme regime. This includes a reduced rate of 12.5%, which would apply in 2025, 2026, and 2027, and a reduced rate of 15%, which would apply in 2028. Note that Chile previously introduced a temporary reduced rate of 10% in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that applied from 2020 to 2023, with a reduced rate of 12.5% applied in 2024.
