Canada's Department of Finance has announced the entry into force of countermeasures against auto imports from the United States on 9 April 2025. As previously reported, this includes 25% tariffs on non-CUSMA-compliant U.S.-made vehicles, and on the non-Canadian and non-Mexican content of CUSMA-compliant U.S.-made vehicles. The Department of Finance has also published a list of vehicle products from the United States subject to the 25% tariffs from 9 April 2025.
