On 9 March 2023, Brazil's Senate (upper chamber of the National Congress) approved the ratification of the pending tax information exchange agreement with Guernsey. The agreement, signed 6 February 2013, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will generally apply from the date of its entry into force.
