On April 24th, 2014, representatives from Belarus and Cambodia issued a joint statement announcing their intent to negotiate an income and capital tax treaty between the two countries. The announcement came as a result of a three-day visit in Minsk by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen. Such an agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries. No date has yet been set for formal negotiations to begin.
