On 28 December 2017, Belarus ratified the pending income tax treaty with Spain. The treaty, signed 14 June 2017, will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1985 tax treaty between Spain and the former Soviet Union as it applies in respect of Belarus and Spain. Details of the treaty will be published once available.
