As previously reported, Belarus has introduced several tax changes for 2023. Further to the corporate income tax changes reported, certain changes have also been made in regard to the taxation of individual entrepreneurs. The main change is an increase in the tax rate on individual entrepreneurs from 16% to 20% on income received from entrepreneurial activities with effect from 1 January 2023, which is in line with the increase in the standard corporate tax rate to 20%. The right to determine expenses according to a standard 20% of total taxable income is maintained.
