On 24 October 2018, the Belarus Council of the Republic (upper house of parliament) approved the law for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with the Czech Republic. The agreement, signed 14 March 2018, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
