According to a release from the Barbados government, officials from Barbados and Israel met on 16 August 2023 to discuss potential cooperation, including the negotiation of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
