On 26 April 2018, the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, signed the laws for the ratification of the OECD-Council of Europe Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters as amended by the 2010 protocol, as well as the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (MCAA). Both the Convention and the MCAA were signed by Bahrain on 29 June 2017, and will enter into force after the ratification instrument for the Convention is deposited.
