According to an update from the Council of Europe, Bahrain deposited its ratification instrument on 3 May 2018 for the OECD-Council of Europe Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters as amended by the 2010 protocol. The Convention, signed by Bahrain on 29 June 2017, will enter into force for the country on 1 September 2018 and will generally apply from 1 January 2019.
