On 1 July 2014, Luxembourg's Grand Duke Henri signed the law ratifying the pending income and capital tax treaty with the Czech Republic. The treaty was signed 5 March 2013, and once in force and effective, will replace the 1991 treaty between Czechoslovakia and Luxembourg, which currently applies. The treaty was ratified by the Czech Republic on 5 June 2014.
