Representative Ron Estes (R-KS) has announced the reintroduction of draft legislation, the Unfair Tax Prevention Act, in the U.S. House of Representatives on 27 March 2025. The legislation is meant to counter extraterritorial taxes on U.S. businesses, including the Pillar 2 UTPR, through an increase in the U.S. Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax (BEAT).
