U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin reportedly commented during the 23 June Bloomberg Invest Global 2020 virtual summit that he may consider a further extension of the annual return deadline to 15 September 2020. The deadline was previously extended to 15 July as part of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
