On 22 December 2017, U.S. president Donald Trump signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The legislation, approved by Congress on 20 December 2017 ({News-2017-12-21/A/5-previous coverage}), includes major reform measures that generally apply from 1 January 2018 in the areas of business tax, international tax, and individual tax.
