The income tax treaty and protocol between Switzerland and South Africa, signed on 8 May 2007, entered into force on 27 February 2009. The new treaty generally applies from 1 January 2010. From this date, the new treaty generally replaces the Switzerland-South Africa tax treaty of 3 July.
