On 24 January 2020, the withdrawal agreement for the UK to leave the EU was signed by the heads of the European Commission and Council, Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel, and by the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. The agreement is now scheduled to be ratified by a vote in the European Parliament on 29 January 2020.
