Officials from Mauritius and Vietnam met on 6 March 2019 to discuss bilateral issues, including the interest of both sides for the negotiation and signing of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
