According to recent reports, officials from Mali and Vietnam met 23 to 29 March 2018 to discuss bilateral relations, including the need to begin negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
