Malaysia's Ministry of Finance has announced that officials from Malaysia and the Maldives signed an income tax treaty on 24 May 2023. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Details of the treaty will be published once available.
