The income and capital tax treaty between Italy and Mongolia entered into force on 15 December 2021. The treaty, signed 11 September 2003, is the first of its kind between the two countries.

The treaty covers Italian personal income tax and corporate income tax, and covers Mongolian individual income tax, corporate income tax, and immovable property tax.
