According to a release from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, officials from Hungary and Kyrgyzstan began negotiations for an income tax treaty on 28 February 2018. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
