According to an announcement by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Belarus and Kenya met on 17 October 2014 and agreed to begin negotiations for a tax treaty. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed and ratified before entering into force.
