According to a release from the Vietnam government, officials from Algeria and Vietnam met 13 July 2018 to discuss strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries, including the negotiation of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
